Liam Hemsworth, who co-stars in Disney’s upcoming Miley Cyrus drama “The Last Song,” is jumping into action-movie territory with “Arabian Nights.”

The actor is in negotiations to star in Inferno Entertainment’s 3D adventure directed by Chuck Russell.

Inferno’s Bill Johnson is producing with Mark Ciardi and Gordon Gray of Mayhem Pictures. ROAR also is producing.

Written by Russell and Barry P. Ambrose, the period epic centers on a young commander (Hemsworth) who, after his king is murdered in a coup, joins forces with Sinbad and Aladdin to rescue Queen Scheherazade.

An end-of-summer shoot is being eyed.

Hemsworth, repped by ROAR, is a relative unknown who apart from the buzz he is generating from “Song” appeared in last year’s “Knowing.”

The deal also puts him in territory being tread by brother Chris Hemsworth, who is in production as the title character in Marvel’s superhero action fantasy “Thor.”

Inferno is planning a year-end shoot for “The Grey,” an action project starring Bradley Cooper and directed by Joe Carnahan. The company also is coming off the Sundance premiere of comedy “The Kids Are All Right” and the Berlin premiere of thriller “The Experiment.” Liam Hemsworth to star in ‘Arabian Nights’Actor in negotiations to join Chuck Russell’s 3D adventureBy Borys Kit

The first  part of Hannah Montana’s two-part season finale cliffhanger, “Miley Says Goodbye?,”  topped all cable viewing for the week.   WWE RAW took second for the week. Those looking for a TNA vs RAW comparison, this is for Monday March 1.  We will post the RAW and TNA numbers for March 8 separately.

Pawn Stars tops iCarly!   Who would’ve bet on that!?  And both of last Monday’s 30 minute episodes of Pawn Stars came in ahead of the season finale of Burn Notice (#9).  Six reruns of NCIS made the top 25 list, as well as five episodes of SpongeBob.

Miley Cyrus leans on Liam Hemsworth’s shoulder as they stroll down the walk for their photo shoot for the April 2010 cover of Teen Vogue.

The Last Song on-screen lovers opened up about first impressions, trying to do everything at once and their upcoming movie. Check it:

Miley on Liam: “I think we’re both deeper than normal people—what they think and how they feel. He’s very grateful for what he has, but he doesn’t let it go to his head. I’m like that too.”

Liam on the first time he met Miley: “It was funny—working with Miley was a lot easier than I thought it was going to be. From the first time we read, it was like I had known her before.”

Miley on the triple threat: “It’s refreshing to work with an actor who isn’t also a singer and dancer and musician and artist and this and that. I’m sick of quadruple threats.”
